  • Introduction

Molybdenum Disulfide For Plastics is added to plastics to make modified plastics containing molybdenum disulfide powder, which can improve its bearing capacity and wear resistance without affecting the impact resistance and fatigue resistance of unmodified plastics such as cast nylon , widely used to manufacture gears, bearings, star wheels and sleeves, can widely replace wear-resistant parts of mechanical equipment, replace copper and alloys as wear-resistant and wearing parts of equipment, such as bushings, bearing bushes, bushings, lining plates, Gears, worm rollers, copper guide rails, piston rings, sealing rings, sliders, ball bowls, impellers, vanes, cams, nuts, valve plates, pipes, stuffing boxes, racks, pulleys, pump rotors, etc.

Molybdenum disulfide, as a high-performance functional filler, significantly enhances the comprehensive performance of plastics and rubber. When manufacturing engineering plastic components such as gears, bearings and sliders, adding molybdenum disulfide can effectively reduce the coefficient of friction and significantly enhance the wear resistance and self-lubrication of the products. At the same time, it can also improve the thermal conductivity of materials, help dissipate frictional heat, prevent local overheating and softening, and enhance dimensional stability, enabling components to maintain accuracy under long-term loads. It is particularly suitable for precision plastic parts in fields such as automobiles and machinery that require high-intensity and long-life movement.

Specific application scenarios: To further enhance the wear resistance, by adding an appropriate amount of molybdenum disulfide to PA6, the friction coefficient of the composite material system can be significantly reduced, the wear amount can be decreased, and its durability can be improved. To enhance the wear resistance of PTFE, a PTFE/MoS2 composite system is formed by adding MoS2, which can effectively optimize the tribological behavior of the material and improve its comprehensive performance in use. The composite material composed of POK as the matrix and molybdenum disulfide as the functional filler not only maintains high strength and chemical resistance but also further possesses outstanding wear resistance, self-lubrication, anti-static and low-noise properties. It is suitable for high-friction, high-temperature and corrosive working conditions, which can significantly extend the service life of parts and reduce maintenance costs. After adding molybdenum disulfide, the wear resistance of the POM/MoS2 composite material is significantly improved, effectively extending the service life of the workpiece. Meanwhile, the bending strength of this composite material is also enhanced, and it can better maintain shape and dimensional stability under high load and long-term use conditions. It is suitable for application scenarios with higher requirements for wear resistance and structural strength.

Molybdenum Disulfide For Plastics is a lubricant grade of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) available in three grades-Technical, Technical Fechnical Fine, and Super Fine.Typical MoS2 content (calculated average) is 98.5%.
