Introduction
Compared with molybdenum disulfide technical grade and Molybdenum disulfide technical fine grade, Molybdenum Disulfide Superfine Grade has incomparable advantages in industrial applications. Molybdenum disulfide itself has good lubricating properties. However, Molybdenum Disulfide Superfine Grade has high temperature, low temperature, high load, high speed, chemical corrosion and modern ultra-high temperature. Under vacuum conditions, Molybdenum Disulfide Superfine Grade has more excellent lubricity for equipment.
The good lubricity of molybdenum disulfide is determined by its crystal structure.
Molybdenum disulfide has a layered structure of hexagonal crystals, and its crystal is a layer unit composed of three plane layers of sulfur, molybdenum and sulfur, each molybdenum disulfide crystal has a lot of molybdenum disulfide molecule composition, each molybdenum disulfide molecular layer is divided into three atomic layers, the middle layer is molybdenum atoms, the upper and lower layers are sulfur atomic layers, each molybdenum atom is surrounded by 6 sulfur atoms, the thickness of the unit layer is 6.25A°, the distance between the layers is 12.3A°, it is easy to split from layer to layer. A particle of 1 μm can split 800 flakes with a coefficient of friction as low as 0.02. The layered structure of molybdenum disulfide has strong intralayer bond energy, which can achieve the purpose of compressive resistance, weak interlayer bond energy, easy to shear and lubricate, and small friction coefficient. Therefore, molybdenum disulfide is known as the king of solid lubrication.
With nearly 20 years of research and development experience, we can provide an annual output of 1,000 tons of Molybdenum Disulfide Superfine Grade as a technology product.

Figure 1: Crystal structure of Molybdenum Disulfide Superfine Grade
The ability of Molybdenum Disulfide Superfine Grade to act as a lubricant is closely related to its layered structure.
The image above shows the layered structure of Molybdenum Disulfide Superfine Grade .The orange-colored spheres represent molybdenum atoms, and the blue-colored spheres represent sulfur atoms. An outer layer of sulfur atoms binds to each metal surface, preventing contact between the metal surfaces.
